什么时候用a什么时候用the

冠词有：不定冠词（a、an）和定冠词（the）而关于冠词的用法，也只有四种：1、加a；2、加an；3、加the；4、不加冠词，那至于什么情况下，怎么用？下面分复数和单数的情况，来进行讲解：

（1）复数是只有两种情况，加the或不加冠词

1、复数一般情况下不加冠词。

2、特殊情况为后面跟定语从句（或其缩略式）进行限定时，加 the。

（2）单数不定冠词a或an：

1、在句义表示泛指时，加a或an。

2、同位语进行解释说明时，要加a或an。如：……byRedfin, a nationalrealestatebrokeragefirm.

3、单数名词前有形容词，一般要添加a或an。如：a decisivereversal（一种决定性的逆转）

4、至于用a还是an，就看后面的的词的发音是否是以元音开始。

定冠词the：

1、of前的单数名词 一般要加the，固定词组除外。如：thestartoftherecession。

2、明确特指对象，要加the。如：debunking the ideathatweneedtogrowmorefoodonalargescalesowecan“feed the ninebollion”- the anticipatedglobalpopulationby2050.

3、定语从句（包括doing或done的从句省略形式）的先行词一般加the。如：Thereisaslo the virtuallyunregulatedfoodsystemthatisgearedtowardmakingmoneyratherthanfeedingpeople.
